12 Top Blogger
Blogging is very frustrating when you are just doing it for money, I know you would agree with me about this, because it did happen to me, I was very frustrated the first time I started my own blog knowing that it is not reaching a lot of readers and so there is no single chance I can monetize it. Therefore I stop blogging for a while and already planning to quit. Not until now I realized those were wrong mentality on how to start a blog.
There are thousands of bloggers who have been successful in their blogging career but there are also thousands on the other hand who failed. So in order to be effective in your blogging or you want to start a blog and want to be successful on it. You need to listen to people who have been successful in this industry. Their advice will not just encourage us to blog but to do it right and be successful in the end.
I have come across to many blogs online who made a sort of interview to some of the powerful and top blogger today about how they start and made their own personal brand in their chosen niche on blogging. On these interviews, they shared also a piece of advice for new bloggers out there which I think is a great way to help everyone be motivated and teach us how to start a blog of our own in a right and proper way.

So here are my 12 famous Top Blogger and their advice on how to start a blog.

(I made some few editing and I cut some few lines, but don’t worry everything is there and you can also check out the whole interviews, if you want, from the links provided.)

…do one thing. Do it really, really, well. Don't get distracted. Don't let other people tell you what your vision should be. Stick to the vision. Be consistent and then just work, work, work, work.
Be prepared for a lot of hard work and be consistent, it takes time.

You should feel really good about what you are doing. If you have reservations don’t start because it takes a long time to launch, get money, and bring your idea to life. So you need to be really sure that you are PASSIONATE about your project.
You should avoid doing something as an entrepreneur for the wrong reasons because you are not going to be right on the first time and when you will have to change something, pivot, or iterate if you are not passionate by your idea you going to be miserable.

pick a topic you love, one that you can’t wait to write about every day. If I wasn't truly obsessed with productivity, I would have never lasted at Lifehacker.
center your site on the reader, not yourself. Provide useful, informative, entertaining material that readers will come back to over and over again.
…measure your success by your readership and the response you get from others, not your Adsense checks. Once you build your audience, the money will follow.

I wish someone had told me, ‘You know, you don’t have to do things according to someone else’s plan in order to be successful.’ More often than not, especially in the world we live in, doing things your own unique way, coupled with fundamentals, I mean, I see a lot of people who are incredibly unique in their approach but they disregard everything that’s ever worked, especially when it comes to human psychology, and they fail. I say be unique, pay attention to the fundamentals and do what you want.

If you can solve a problem for someone, or if you can meet a need that they have, then you’re going to create a site that people will want to come back to and that they want to bring others to.
…pretty much every successful blog that you see out there does meet some kind of need in people – whether that be a need that we might think is worthwhile or not. Some of them are purely there to help people to be entertained or to give people the latest gossip on something.
…it’s really about defining what this blog is going to help people to do. Once you've nailed that down, then you can begin to build content, the design and the brand that will help to communicate that to others, so that’s probably the starting point that I’d have.

I think bloggers should blog for fun and not for profit. If you only do it for the money, chances are you will fail. My blog is for fun. It made nothing for the first 8 months. If it was still making nothing today, I would still be updating it.
Treat your blog like a real business. Because of the low barrier of entry, most people don’t take their blogging seriously because they don’t have much to lose if they fail. I mean, you can start a blog for zero dollars. However, a blog can make serious money if you take it seriously. Ask yourself this question. If your blog cost $100,000 to start, would you be running it the way you’re running it now?

Aim to make meaning, not money (because the latter follows the former).

create something you will be proud of. Practically speaking, create value for other people, publish unique and useful content, network with fellow bloggers, give before you ask, and have fun along the way!

There aren't really any secrets to success anymore. I think we live in a time where many of us do know what it takes to succeed; we’re just too scared, or too lazy to actually do it. If you really, and I mean REALLY want to succeed, you’ll naturally find out exactly what you have to do and you’ll crush it.
get something started now. It takes time to become successful online in the way that I did, and the hardest part is knowing just that. I've seen so many people with so many great ideas fail because they just don’t see results right away. If you’re selecting a niche or market to get into, look into the future. Do you see yourself still being passionate and excited about what you want to do 6 months from now, 1 year from now, 5 years from now? If not, then you’d better try something else that you know you’ll stick with. Why wouldn't you?
don’t worry about being perfect. Nobody is perfect, but for some reason we all think everything has to be perfect in order to launch a blog, sell a product, or become successful online. You don’t have to be perfect. So many people will work so hard trying to get every part of the puzzle in place, and what usually happens is that because of this, so much time has passed that they missed their window of opportunity. Get something started now and put content online, and worry about perfection later.

Top Blogger: Michael Dunlop

Start. It’s just like do it, because so many people don’t actually start and that’s pretty much the main reason people fail.
Delivering what you’re doing, to deliver it in a different way. If everyone’s writing the exact same thing, then there’s no reason why they should go to you over other people. When you deliver your content in a different way, it sort of gives them more reason to go and see.
Another thing is to have a lot of fun. You sort of burn out if you don’t have a good balance of business and pleasure. They enjoy what they’re doing. They’re passionate about it. If you’re not passionate, you couldn't bring that across in what you’re doing. I think that sort of sums up entrepreneurs that are successful.

...lot of people do enjoy blogging. As long as they enjoy it without any expectations of making money then ironically it is much more likely to be successful. Blogging is a great companion for any business owner so in that respect it is a viable tool to help accompany your product or service. It is something that I view as entertainment for the people or to enlighten them.
The biggest thing is to start with a very small goal or sit down and come up with small milestones. Everyone naturally procrastinates unless they are under the gun. If everyone pretended like they had 2 weeks to have a probable business, or their family would be homeless and starving, the amount of work and tasks they would accomplish would be outstanding.

Top Blogger: Yaro Starak

Pick your opportunities wisely. Don’t jump into anything too quickly. I would definitely gravitate to the money, but make sure you like the subject as well.
being persistent and passionate. There are a few “Ps” in there. Persistence, passion, you want to be consistent with what you do, in the sense that you have to keep doing things over and over and over again, before you necessarily get results. It’s often the most challenging at the beginning.
…You need to not lose track of your own picture and your own journey; at the same time, keep working everyday toward that. So, consistency and persistence are definitely very, very important drives.
…Behind consistency and persistency is a passion for what it is that you do. So, if you’re not working on a business that you feel something passionate about… there has to be an angle in there that you have a passion for… then that’s not going to get you far without it. You do need to have that element in place, in order to be a successful entrepreneur, I believe.
Make sure you focus on two things - Understand what you are trying to achieve and how people have done it in the past (don't go in completely blind) and create an action focused daily habit – for example, write 1000 words per day if writing is your thing (substitute this for any task important to your success).

Top Blogger: Zac Johnson
12. Zac Johnson (ZacJohnson.com)
If you are looking to start a blog and not get lost among the competition, you have to make your blog stand out and make readers see your blog offers something the others don’t. Guest posting on other large blogs in your niche can also help bring presence and readers to your site. I would also recommend not trying to make money (at least with on-site banners/advertising) on your blog until you have an established following. This is what I did with ZacJohnson.com, and did not place any monetization on the blog until its 9th month of being live.
…it also comes down to branding, advertising and what you can bring to the table. One of the most important factors is your branding. This is the type of advertising and effect that will continually grow your blog in the long run. Even before your branding, you still need readers and content… so it all works hand in hand.
So those were the advises of the few people who have been so much successful in their blogging career. I really love reading success stories of people because somehow it will not just help us to dream big but it is also motivates and inspires us to keep going.
When we wanted to be like them you also need to do exactly (somehow) how they have reach those position they are now. What people are lacking today is not just resources but motivation. So I hope these advice from successful and well known to blogger around the world would not just be a lesson but also be a motivation from all of us who have just and planning to start blogging. Have a good day.
Reading their answers from a personal interview gives us knowledge of how we, new bloggers and young entrepreneur, should start our way to become successful someday in the realm of blogosphere. Stay tune for some other motivational and inspiration for us to be persistent in blogging.
